Thursdays Hunt
This is Buster my beagle. He had recieved a nice leg of lamb bone recently. He is not allowed to have the bones indoors so he eats them outside. Well he lost it in the snow that fell recently. Here he is sniffing for the bone. He ran around the yard sniffing for it's whereabouts. He would bury his nose in the snow tossing it into the air. AFter awhile he finally found it. In his dog house all that time. Too cute. Does your dog etc like playing in the snow at all? Or maybe even in the rain? [b]HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~[/b]

German Shorthaired Pointer, a breed that is often forgotten!
This is my dog, Koko. I have had her for about 3 months now. She is a German Shorthaired Pointer. These type of dog, is known to be a great protector, and primarily used to hunt. Koko loves to box, and uses her paws alot to get my attention. She always loves to play and is a happy dog. Very easy to teach and train. What is your favorite breed of dog?
Waiting for someone that's not coming back. Why dump a dog?
It has happened again. Look at my picture and tell me why you wouldn't want this dog? Since yesterday morning there is a little brown dog sitting at the end of our driveway. We live out in the country, but just 1/2 mile off a main road. Last year some one left Luke, he is now enjoying having us as a family. Our driveway is long, and we are the first house on top of a hill. Perfect for dumping an unwanted animal. This is the sweetest little female, she seems very loving and smart, probably not 1 year old yet. I have made several trips to the end of the driveway, taking her food and she comes to the yard to get a drink. But she goes back by the road where she was probably dropped off. It is so pitiful, it's like she thinks she's supposed to wait there until her owners come back. We have talked to the neighbors, and the mail carrier, no one has seen her before. We will eventually gain our trust, she likes us, just thinks she has to wait. We will keep her, name her, love her. She will have a good home. She will need vet care (has fleas & ticks, no collar) and she will have to be spayed. We have a new set of problems, because we have to take care of ANOTHER dogs needs. But we...
Killing animals
Does anyone else have a serious problem killing anything? I can't even kill a mouse I have to buy humane traps... I guess I just don't have it in me
Master Hunters
The dog sat for almost an hour completely ignoring me. He lay perfectly still and ignored the temptation of getting his picture taken, getting petted, a dog treat... I soon discovered why. He was "fly" hunting. I'm adding a picture of him following the fly until he finally caught it. In the photograph you'll notice the fly sitting on his paw while he remained still so it wouldn't fly off. Does anyone else have an insect hunting dog too?
What is your favorite type of dog?
I love yorkies and labs myself. My last dog was a black lab. Good dog, but we had to lay her to rest recently. I would like to get a yorkie or a medium sized hunting dog soon. What do yall think?
