| | Introductions, Annoyances, And Progress | | Okay, I haven't been on in a while, but I've been meaning to start a few discussions. This one is kind of a hodge-podge of those. Those of you that know me, only know me as The Faerie or FaerieAne. I've decided to give you my name. Now, being the private person I am, it isn't my real name, but it is special to me, and it's easier than trying to remember to call myself Faerie. So, hello friends! My name is Parker! Yes, I'm female. Yes, it's a boy's name. So is my "real" name, so that's easy. Now the introduction is over, a bit about myself. I've been a stay home mommy for over 4 years, I returned to school for neuromuscular therapy last October, I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and adult phase ADHD simultaneously last February, I'm an Aries, I have a precious 4 year old little boy, I'll be married 5 years in December, I am my husband's second wife, I have a 10 year old stepson, I'm 24, I have brown curly hair and green eyes, I drive a bright red 2002 Chevy that has power brakes (but not power windows or door locks), and my avatar pic is NOT me (I thought she was pretty, too, so I ripped her from some e-magazine). | | Dog saves owner | | We have read many stories how dogs have saved their owners from lots of trouble and many of them have even saved the life of their owners. Here is another great story of a puppy who saved his owner when the house was caught on fire."Woman's best friend? A dog who saves her from a fire. Cathy Minnig was exercising on her basement treadmill Wednesday night, wearing music headphones, when her Labrador puppy, Riley, began jumping on and off the couch and otherwise acting strange."Do you have a dog? Have he or she got you out of trouble before?Read the full story here: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071221/ap_on_fe_st/odd_saved_by_dog;_ylt=Ap1_axaLQp2bc6CSh1qpaIrtiBIF | |
| | Devotional for Tuesday, July 24th | | Psalm 91:2 I will say to the Lord, "You are my place of safety and protection. You are my God and I trust you."As some of you know, our oldest daughter Kristen, is working at our veterinarian's office this summer. When she asked what I thought about her working for Dr. Jill I laid down the Mommy Law: "That's fine. BUT, no more animals! Understood?"We are now fostering our second animal. Tyson is the cutest 5 week old Labrador puppy whose mother was killed long before he was ready to be weaned. We have bottle fed this little guy and tried to keep him nourished and cuddled as his own mother would. Baby, our 2 year old Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua mix is doing her part to help.Yesterday, Tyson, who by the way looks like a baby polar bear with a long tail, sat beside the pet bed and cried. It was so sad, that I almost wanted to cry. Baby had been outside, but as soon as she came back in, heard Tyson's whimpers and came running as fast as she could get to him. She gently pushed him with her nose up into the bed, and then curled herself around him, putting her head across his neck. The puppy immediately quit crying and went to sleep.Do you ever feel like Tyson? I do.... | |
