| | myLot Discussions| Potty Training Tricks | | My 2 year old needs to be potty trained, but hates the potty. He has a fear of talking toys and several months ago he had a very traumatic experience of using a talking potty. Since then he says "NO, NO!" to the potty. He reads the books and watches "Potty Time Elmo," but will NOT use the potty. He is my first child and I have no clue what I'm doing. Any advice?!?! | |
| | Are you doing any Study, Training or Courses this Year? | | I just started my first training, or study in many years.
I am doing a Tax Agent training course. There are only 8 people in my course and the instructor is very good.
The course goes for 3 hours each week, plus three hours homework.
My first session today was fairly intense but I feel I have a grasp of my issues so far. We looked at our to fill in a tax assessment form, rebates, claims and lump suns. Are you studying a course at the moment, or planning to this year? What is it? Will it lead to employment or are you studying just for interest?

| | Potty Training Advice Needed | | My 3 year old niece is about 80% potty trained. She goes on the potty all day while at daycare but the minute she's home, she starts to wet her pants. Her mom has tried everything she can to stop this. They've tried scolding, time out, saying nothing, taking her to the bathroom every hour or two, trying to get her to talk about it (which she wont). They had to put the pull up back on her which she hasn't worn in a while because they are simply tired of her wetting the furniture.
She does go to the potty sometimes. The ratio is like 30% potty and 70% wet herself.
They've even invested in a neat potty seat from Fisher-Price, (see picture). Nothing works.
What works for you parents out there?[em]cry[/em]
| | Vocational Training: As a part of school curriculum | | MOdern education is bookish, theoretical and divorced from the harsh realities oof life. The so-called liberal educationimparted in schools and colleges does not help in making the students earn teir lives. | |
| | | dogs training | | hi friends can u please tell me how to trained a small puppy for potty training | |
| | Puppy training problems? | | Before I give detail, I just want to say, that I have had many great dogs in my life, and have trained all of them.
Recently, my fiance wanted a puppy. So, we of course, took the time, and found one who we both really favored.
We've had him for about a month and a half. He's a boxer/ Pit bull, and very sweet. I have been trying everything I can think of, to potty train him.I can tell he knows he's supposed to go outside. He however, doesn't warn us, so I make sure to take him out every 15 - 35 minutes, and when I think he's looking for a place to go. There's subtle signs that he gives, like every puppy, and most of the time, when I get him outside, he does use the restroom. There are some occasions, I will stand outside with him for 45 minutes to an hour, and he will not go. And as soon as I bring him inside, he immediately potty's on the carpet. I was also understanding, that puppys, and dogs in general, will try their hardest not to use the restroom where they sleep. He seems to favor this.
I am not really sure what I am doing wrong, does anybody have tips?
| | training my dog | | I have a 8 month old pitbull and he can't stand walking with his leash on. He will let us put it on him and then he will lay down and won't want to move anymore. And if we are outside then we will walk a few steps and then lay down and I will have to bribe him with treats to move a few more steps. I don't know how to get him compfotable enough to take a walk around the neighborhood without laying down. Please help! | |
